Abstract
Background: There are numerous ways to fix a deviated nose which is usually demanding during a secondary
rhinoplasty. To decrease the load on the surgeon and decrease the rate of complications for patient we used the
spreader graft technique which is a relatively simple and less challenging.
Technique: 8 patients with residual bony nasal septum deviation underwent secondary rhinoplasty with a
contralateral spreader graft placed in their crooked noses and were monitored for a period of 1 year after the
procedure.
Results: The outward appearance of the noses of all 8 patients improved.
Conclusion: This study showed that the spreader graft approach can be successfully utilized to repair bony
nasal septum deviation.
